Fevereiro - Acompanhamento da Safra e Exportações Brasileiras
Overview
Crop development:
Crop harvesting is going well, growers in Mogiana report that about 10% is already harvested, while the ones in Alta Paulista mention 20-25%.
While in Mogiana small losses are reported, by exceeding rain, Alta Paulista seems to have the contrary issue, with growers reporting losses by the lack of rain.
Nevertheless, the quality so far is reported to be good, peanuts are well developed and aflatoxin does not look like an issue.

Exports:
January 2025 figures showed an increase in peanut and peanut oil exports, consequence of the pressure of the new crop development over the old crop stocks that remained.
Analysis and charts below:
Peanuts
Total
Peanuts export in 2024/2025 x 2023/2024
Brazilian exports of peanuts, NCM 12024200, Ministry of Agriculture.
During January, Brazil exported about 21,4 thousand tons, an increase of about 7 thousand tons (50%) compared to the previous month, and slightly down compared to Jan 2025 (7%).
This increase, compared to last month, can be seen as a result of the pressure put on the growers and shellers that still had stocks of old crop, while the new crop was and is developing very well.
Destination
Exported volumes to main destinations.
The increase in exports is focused, mostly, in exports to the EU27 and Russia, about 2 thousand more to the EU and 3 thousand more to Russia, more specifically, coming back to similar levels as November, while Algeria remained flat on its 4 thousand tons.
Peanut oil
Peanut Oil export in 2024 x 2023
Peanut oil exports went up about 1,7 thousand tons, sharing the same causes as the peanut exports.
China increased its imports in about 500 tons, however, the main responsible for the increase was Italy, which imported about 1 thousand tons more.
