November 2025 - Brazilian Crop and Exports

Overview

The Brazilian crop planting is in full swing. About 60-70% of the areas are already planted, with a forecast of the last areas finishing by the end of the month.

Mogiana is slightly ahead of Alta Paulista at the moment. Weather is going well, for most of the growers it is better than last year in this same period.

Some shellers believe in 30-40% decrease in area, some cooperatives mentioned their growers will decrease 20-30 or 15-20%, therefore, it is still hard to define this number.

The weather forecasts for the next weeks are good and there is an overall sense that the crop is developing well.

Exports of kernels are up, during October, Brazil exported about 33 thousand tons, 11% more vis-à-vis September. And up 85% when compared to October 24.

The October figure adds to a total of 241 thousand tons exported this calendar year, and 206 thousand tons crop year (April – now) so far. This number is already enough to put 2025 on the top 5 years for kernels export volume wise, and we still have two months to go.

Brazil exports of peanut oil went back up during October to 13,6 thousand tons, this is a 40% increase vis-à-vis September and 340% increase compared to Ocotber 2024 .

This number adds to a total of about 121 thousand tons of peanut oil exported this year, 174% more than last year.

So far this is the second largest year for peanut oil exports, just losing to 2022 with 136 thousand tons.

This increase is likely explained to the greater offer of low-quality peanuts, that can be used for as peanut oil raw material.

As usual, the fluctuation in peanut oil exports is mostly due to Chinese imports, with 12,9 thousand tons, about 4,5 thousand tons decrease. Italian imports dropped about 400 tons.
