Overview 

Crop development: 

The harvest is about 50% done and shall be completed by the end of April. The first share of fields showed great results, with yields above 4t /ha. Nevertheless, the productivity decreased along the harvest. There are estimations of average yield of 3,8 mt/ha, however, as the planting area is very sparce in region and farmers, it is hard to tell for sure. 

With the harvest development, the draws for total production start to come more often in talks with the farmers and exporters. The total area is believed to be 380.000 to 400.000 ha, considering this area range, an average yield varying from 3,6 to 4,0 mt/ha would result in a production that ranges from 1,370 to 1,6 mi metric tons of inshells.
